    The Date Alchemy is committed to providing a discreet, respectful, and personalised matchmaking experience. These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and mutual accountability between our clients and our team. By enrolling in The Date Alchemy's matchmaking service, you agree to the terms outlined below.

    1. Membership and Matchmaking

    • The Date Alchemy is a personalised matchmaking service, not a dating app. Matches are made based on compatibility, mutual interest, availability, and feedback.
    • As a benchmark, for a 12-month membership we aim to arrange 4–5 quality introductions per year. There is no upper limit on the number of introductions. These benchmarks represent our best-effort commitment, not a guarantee of outcome or romantic compatibility.
    • The pace and frequency of your introductions may vary depending on your criteria, your responsiveness, and feedback from previous matches.
    • We are actively searching for all our clients and will reach out as soon as we identify a genuinely strong compatibility candidate. We ask that clients trust the process and refrain from pressuring the team to accelerate introductions beyond what the matching pool allows.

    2. Client Conduct

    To maintain a high standard of experience for all members, you agree to the following.

    2.1 Date Commitment

    Once a date is mutually agreed (including timing and venue), we ask that you honour that commitment. Where a cancellation or change is unavoidable, please notify us as early as possible.

    Persistent, unexplained last-minute cancellations — defined as three or more within a 12-month membership period — may result in a formal review of your membership. We will contact you in writing to discuss the situation before taking any further action. Where a pattern of cancellation causes genuine harm to other members, we reserve the right, as a last resort, to suspend or terminate the membership with a pro-rata refund of any undelivered service, calculated from the date of notice.

    2.2 Respectful Conduct

    Our members commit to treating every introduction with respect, courtesy, and appropriate personal boundaries.

    Conduct that is reported to us as threatening, harassing, or deliberately harmful to another member will be investigated. We will contact you in writing before taking any action. Where we determine that serious misconduct occurred, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership. In such cases, the refund treatment will depend on the severity and circumstances, and will never be less than what is required under applicable law.

    3. Communication Protocol

    • All official communication takes place via email or WhatsApp text messages.
    • Bespoke tier members have direct phone access to their dedicated matchmaker during working hours, in addition to email and WhatsApp communication.
    • For all other tiers, phone calls are not part of the standard service unless it is an emergency during a scheduled introduction.
    • We ask that you respond to date feedback requests, match suggestions, and scheduling messages within 1–2 working days. Extended periods of non-response may result in your profile being temporarily deprioritised in the matching queue. We will notify you before this happens.

    4. Confidentiality and Privacy

    • Clients agree not to share identifiable information, photos, or personal details about other The Date Alchemy members outside of the matchmaking process.
    • The Date Alchemy will treat all personal information and communications as confidential, in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

    5. Accuracy of Information

    Providing accurate information is fundamental to the matchmaking process and to the safety of other members. You agree that all information provided to The Date Alchemy — including your age, marital status, identity, and background — is truthful and not materially misleading.

    Where we have reasonable grounds to believe that a material misrepresentation has occurred, we will contact you in writing to discuss the matter. Where misrepresentation is confirmed, we reserve the right to terminate your membership. Refund treatment in such cases will reflect the proportion of service delivered to the point of termination. Where relevant legal or regulatory reporting obligations apply, we may act on these.

    6. Fees and Cancellation

    6.1 Fee structure

    Our fee is structured as follows:

    • 10% of the total membership fee is payable at the time of sign-up to commence your search.
    • 90% of the total membership fee becomes payable only once you have confirmed your excitement to meet a specific proposed match — this is our commitment to a results-aligned service.

    6.2 Your right of withdrawal (EU clients)

    As a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of signing up, by notifying us in writing at hello@thedatealchemy.com.

    This right applies only to fees already paid at the time of withdrawal — that is, the 10% deposit. The 90% balance is a separate payment obligation that only arises when you actively confirm you wish to meet a proposed match; it is not subject to this withdrawal right.

    The right of withdrawal is extinguished once the service has been substantially performed — which, in the context of our service, occurs when your intake consultation has been completed and a match has been proposed to you. Given the pace at which we work, this typically happens within the first few days of membership.

    Where a valid withdrawal is exercised before that point, we will refund the 10% deposit in full within 14 days of receiving your notice.

    6.3 After the withdrawal period

    Outside of the statutory withdrawal period described above, our fees are non-refundable. Romantic compatibility cannot be guaranteed, and outcomes depend on many variables beyond our control. Our fees reflect the significant expertise, time, and access to our curated member pool that we invest from the moment your search begins.

    7. Limitations of Liability

    • Introducer only: The Date Alchemy acts solely as an introduction service. We do not supervise, accompany, or control the conduct of members during or after any introduction. Members are solely responsible for their own safety and conduct at all times.
    • Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
    • Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with these Terms — whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise — shall not exceed the total membership fee paid by you for the current membership period.
    • We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of opportunity or loss of anticipated benefit, save where such losses were reasonably foreseeable at the time of entering into this contract or are not capable of exclusion under applicable law.
    • While we conduct face-to-face verification interviews and require government-issued identification from all members, The Date Alchemy cannot guarantee the conduct of individuals introduced through our service. You acknowledge that all introductions are made in good faith based on the information available to us.
    • You agree to indemnify TDA Global Services LLP against any legal costs or damages arising directly from your material breach of these Terms.

    8. Feedback and Reviews

    We welcome honest feedback through our direct channels and take all constructive criticism seriously. Clients are encouraged to contact us at hello@thedatealchemy.com with any concerns.

    We ask that any feedback shared publicly — whether online or otherwise — is factually accurate and made in good faith. Publishing statements that are false or materially misleading may constitute defamation under applicable law, and we reserve the right to seek appropriate remedies in such cases.

    9. Complaints

    We are committed to resolving any concerns promptly and fairly. If you have a complaint:

    1. Contact us at hello@thedatealchemy.com with the subject line "Complaint."
    2. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days.
    3. We will provide a substantive response within 30 days.
    4. If you remain unsatisfied, you may contact the relevant consumer authority in your country of residence.

    10. Disclaimer

    The Date Alchemy does not guarantee romantic compatibility, relationship outcomes, or marriage. The service is based on human judgement, personal feedback, and the information available to us at the time of matching. Human behaviour is inherently unpredictable, and we cannot accept responsibility for the conduct of individual members.

    11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. However, if you are a consumer resident in an EU member state, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections provided by the law of your country of residence, which these Terms do not override. Nothing in these Terms affects your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

    12. General

    • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
    • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Date Alchemy in respect of the service.
    • Changes: We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active members of any material changes by email before they take effect.

    Legal Entity

    The Date Alchemy is a service operated by TDA Global Services LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered in England and Wales (OC460623), with registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. All payments, contractual obligations, services, and liabilities for clients in Luxembourg and the EU are fulfilled by TDA Global Services LLP under The Date Alchemy brand.

    By signing up for The Date Alchemy's services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions, and that you are legally competent to enter into this agreement.
