How are the guests seated at the table?

Guests are seated in small groups of 6 to 8, carefully curated to ensure a mix of like-minded men and women. We use our questionnaire responses to match guests with compatible dining companions.

Is there a host present during the event?

No, and that is completely by design. We don't believe in having a host hovering over your conversation or making things feel forced.

Instead, we handle everything behind the scenes: we carefully curate your table, book the restaurant, and unlock digital icebreakers on your phone to keep the conversation flowing naturally. You simply show up, enjoy a relaxed meal with 6–8 like-minded singles, and let connection happen organically.

After the event, you'll privately let us know who you'd like to see again.

Are there always 6 to 8 guests at the table?

Our events are designed for intimate groups of 6 to 8 guests, balanced evenly between men and women. On rare occasions, sudden schedule changes or last-minute cancellations may result in an odd number of guests (such as 5 or 7). We appreciate your flexibility as we work to maintain the best possible experience for everyone present.

Is there a dress code for the event?

While there is no strict dress code, we recommend smart casual attire. Feel free to dress comfortably yet stylishly for the occasion.

Are food and beverages included in the pass price?

Your entry pass covers the organization, guest curation, and access to our digital icebreakers.

To give you complete freedom over what you eat and drink, food and beverages are not included. You simply pay the venue directly at the end of the evening for your individual consumption from their à la carte menu.

How is the restaurant selected?

Restaurants are selected for ambiance, fabulous food and drinks. We handpick top-rated venues with accessible à la carte options so you can enjoy the evening entirely on your own terms.

Where are the socials held?

All events take place in top-rated, centrally located venues in Luxembourg City, handpicked for their atmosphere and inclusive menus (including excellent vegetarian and dietary options).

This includes popular spots like Haërz, Bella Ciao, Mirador, The spoT, Komptoir, Come A La Maison, Hitch, Lloyd Eatery, La Mezzanine du Boulevard, and Le Pain Quotidien. You'll receive your exact venue details prior to the event.

How and when will I know if I'm confirmed for a dinner or brunch?

Once we receive your payment, you can consider your participation confirmed for the event. If we cannot find a suitable table for you, a full refund is guaranteed at least one week before the event.

How do I locate our table at the restaurant?

We will let you know the surname that the booking is made under. Please arrive on time, ready for a fun night out!

How is the dinner or brunch paid for?

To give our guests maximum flexibility, you pay the restaurant directly based entirely on your individual consumption.

Can I bring a friend to the event?

We encourage attendees to come solo to maximize the opportunity for everyone to meet new people and foster connections. However, if you'd like to bring a friend who is like-minded and shares similar age and interests as you, drop us an email at hello@thedatealchemy.com and we'll try to accommodate.

Are your Singles Socials inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community?

Absolutely! We welcome singles of all sexual orientations. When you sign up, you'll have the option to share your gender preferences so we can place you at a table that maximizes your chances of making a meaningful connection (including dedicated tables for gay, lesbian, or bi/fluid singles depending on registration).

How do I request another member's phone number after an event?

After each event, our Events Team will email you, seeking feedback. In this email you can request member phone numbers. We ask that members don't swap numbers in front of others at the table, out of respect. Our phone number swapping service removes any awkwardness and ensures mutual interest.

I have purchased the pass but I am not able to go

Passes are non-refundable but don't worry, you can still use it for another event if you cancel 1 week before.
